Lethbridge Volunteer Opportunities

Wellspring Alberta is a charitable organization that supports, informs, and empowers those diagnosed with cancer by helping them address the fear, isolation, disruption and practical problems cancer can bring to their lives. An affiliate of the Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation, Wellspring Alberta provides a comprehensive range of programs, support, resources, and programs so anyone living with cancer and the people who care about them can improve the quality of their lives. All programs and services are informed by evidence and offered free of charge and without referral in three centres and online. Our vision is that no one has to face cancer alone.
The collective efforts of our wonderful team of volunteers contribute to the heartbeat of Wellspring Alberta. Their commitment of time and talent is a gift of immeasurable worth. Volunteers embody the kindness, compassion and community that Wellspring Alberta extends to all who seek support in dealing with cancer.
Wellspring Alberta is building a team of passionate community connector volunteers to help raise awareness of Wellspring throughout Alberta with the goal of building localized cancer support communities, so that no one in Alberta has to face cancer alone.
Community Connectors are responsible for building relationships, as well as providing ideas, feedback, and recommendations to Wellspring to help further support individuals and their families who are living with the impact of a cancer diagnosis.

Volunteer Drivers provide support to our Operations Team by assisting with smaller pickups and/or deliveries using their own vehicles and assisting our paid staff with additional errands and warehouse activities. As representatives of the food bank off-site, Volunteer Drivers will interact with donors and suppliers on our behalf and should be capable of heavy lifting and working in fast-paced and ever-changing environments.
Drivers interested in supporting Hamper Deliveries to food bank families will be subject to additional screening requirements (not required for all Volunteer Drivers).
