Warehouse and Maintenance Technician Volunteer
Because of the HELP program volunteers Lethbridge residents who are recovering from surgery or illness are able to access health equipment that enhances their mobility and independence to allow them to recover in the comfort of their own homes.
Volunteer Duties
- Clean and disinfect equipment, according to standards, with support.
- Maintain health equipment, according to standards, with support.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and carry out repairs following manufacturer’s specifications.
- Document repair and maintain up-to date equipment records in inventory management system.
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
- Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot problems of a technical nature
- Some lifting of equipment is required and recommend volunteers be able to lift upwards of 30lbs (~14kg) or assist in carrying equipment weighing up to 80lbs (~36kg)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
- Strong verbal communication and client relation skills
- Full training is provided however volunteers should be comfortable with using a computer and have good written and conversational English. Other languages are considered an asset

- Weekdays:
- 8:30am–12pm
- 1pm–4:30pm
- Weekly commitment
