Toy Department Volunteer
Our shop sells quality, repaired/cleaned and tested donated items at reasonable prices to raise funds to contribute to local community service projects as well as the work of global partners for relief, development and peace.
This opportunity is also suitable for:
- individuals who cannot stand for too long.
- individuals who are intermediate in English.
Volunteer Duties
- Sort through donated toy items by checking for condition, cleaning, testing battery operated toys and pricing according to price guideline.
- May need to look up an item on goggle to determine value if unique.
- Take toys ready for sale out to retail floor and place in toy area in an organized manner.
- May need to organize and tidy toy area on retail floor.
Age Requirements
16 years old or above
Other Requirements
- There is a dress code (business casual). We strive to create and promote a friendly, positive and inclusive experience for all customers, donors and volunteers.
- We are on a bus route, and volunteers take breaks as needed in the lunchroom where coffee, tea, iced tea and snacks are available.
Schedule
Fridays for 3–4 hours (between 9:30am and 4:30pm)
