Our shop sells quality, repaired/cleaned and tested donated items at reasonable prices to raise funds to contribute to local community service projects as well as the work of global partners for relief, development and peace.

We are on a bus route, and breaks are encouraged in our lunchroom where volunteers can socialize with others and have complimentary treats with coffee/tea/iced tea.

This opportunity is also suitable for:

  • families with children under the age of 18.
  • individuals who are beginners in English.
  • individuals who cannot stand for too long.
  • individuals who are intermediate in English.
  • wheelchair users.

Volunteer Duties

  • Inspect donated shoes for quality and condition.
  • Shoes are cleaned well and then priced and sized.
  • Take shoes out to the retail floor that are ready for sale.
  • Sometimes shoes are researched on Google according to brand name to assist in pricing.

Age Requirements

16 years old or above

  • There is a dress code (business casual). We strive to create and promote a friendly, positive and inclusive experience for all customers, donors and volunteers.

Schedule

Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays/Fridays/Saturdays for 3–4 hours (between 9:30am and 4:30pm)
