Media/Content Creation Volunteer
The Media/Content Creation Volunteer supports the BIPOC Foundation’s storytelling and digital outreach efforts by creating engaging content that highlights community initiatives, success stories, and leadership features.
This role is ideal for individuals passionate about digital media, visual storytelling, and social impact.
This position will be a hybrid opportunity with a combination of online commitment, along with in-person meetings held.
Volunteer Duties
- Support the planning and production of multimedia content (graphics, videos, posts).
- Assist with managing the Foundation’s social media presence and engagement.
- Collaborate on digital marketing campaigns and outreach efforts.
- Monitor analytics to measure campaign effectiveness and audience growth.
- Contribute to newsletters, blog articles, and public announcements.
- Participate in creating content, as well as brainstorming sessions for the content and branding ideas.
- NOTE: Required to report to BIPOC events, programs and fairs
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
- Demonstrated interest in communications, journalism, marketing, or media production
- Strong writing, editing, and design skills
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools is an asset
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, hybrid environment
Schedule
Flexible schedule with a 12-15 hours per month commitment.
- Mondays, from 1pm
- Tuesdays, from 12:30pm
- Fridays, from 1:30pm
