Interfaith Food Bank is committed to recognizing the human dignity of those in need and providing food and access to services and resources generated from within our community.
- Food Recovery Volunteers support the Community Engagement team to increase food security by reducing food waste while working in the Co-op Community kitchen.
- Duties include completing assigned recipes, food prep and processing, canning and other forms of food preservation. Food is required to be packaged and labeled for distribution. General kitchen maintenance and cleaning is also required. These tasks are done safely and effectively through detailed processes while adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Food prepared will be distributed to clients through our “pick room”, used for fundraising purposes and for events.
The Reception Volunteer serves as the first point of contact for visitors at Administration and Donations and all callers at Interfaith Food Bank. This role involves receiving and processing donations, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, assisting with inquiries, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure smooth front desk operations.
