Help with set up for Word on the Street!

It’s that time of year again! The Lethbridge Public Library is proud to join communities across the country in a national celebration of literacy, storytelling, and the literary arts, by bringing The Word On The Street Festival to Lethbridge.

The Word On The Street Festival is growing into a signature event in Southern Alberta, where we present established and emerging authors, storytellers, informative panel discussions, demonstrations and workshops, live music, tons of activities and a bustling marketplace. We strive to create a FREE local festival that represents the diversity of our community, is accessible to all ages, and most importantly is well attended, lively, and fun.

Volunteer Duties

You will be involved with the set-up of:

  • Chairs and tables in exhibitor and author tents
  • Placing and hanging signs
  • Set-up of smaller canopy tents
  • Helping the Friends of the LPL bring out books for their display
  • Other things as required

You’ll be given a map that will outline how many tables/chairs are needed in each tent as well as layouts of the tents and stages.
