Tax Preparer Volunteer
Suitable for Seniors- Suitable for Support Staff with Client
We run a year-round tax clinic through the Canadian Volunteer Income Tax Program as well as offer replacement Identification documents.
Volunteer Duties
- Prepare basic tax returns for clients
- Help clients understand the process of taxes and explain the summary
- No experience is needed and training is provided
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
- Must have computer skills
- Be empathetic
- Should be comfortable with numbers
- Volunteers must register through The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) and be in good standing with CRA
Schedule
Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1-3 PM. These house extend during tax season.
