SAAG at the Renaissance Fair Volunteers
Hear ye, hear ye! The Gallery invites you to join us at the Renaissance Fair! We’ll be leading gauntlets-on art activities for guests. We are looking for 2-4 volunteers to assist with this program.
Volunteer Duties
- Assist Gallery staff in preparing the activity booth for the program, setting up materials, organizing the table, prepping and laying out the activity, and other set up needs as required.
- Assist participants throughout the program, providing guidance on the activity when appropriate and/or raising concerns to Gallery staff.
- Help clean up the space throughout the activity, tidying materials, throwing out garbage, and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Assist with cleaning up after the activity, putting away materials, packing up the booth, and transporting it back to the Gallery’s vehicle(s).

- Please note this event will take place at Fort Whoop Up. While the art activity will take place inside, weather will likely impact the event. Ensure you bring water, snacks as desired, and layers of clothing as temperatures can change depending on the sun/air conditioning in the building.
- The art project is designed to be fun for all skill levels, so an art background is not required for volunteers.
- Volunteers should be comfortable engaging with the public; we expect upwards of 100 participants.
- The Renaissance Fair is a community event that serves a wide demographic: volunteers must be comfortable working with adults, children, and seniors.
- Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
- Volunteers are encouraged to dress up for this event, but it is not required.
Schedule
- Saturday, September 5th, 2026 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your shift).
- Volunteer positions available as shifts throughout the day: if you are only able for part of this event please let us know your availability.
- Event strike may take until 6:30 p.m., volunteers are not required to help with clean up and strike but help is appreciated.
