Crafternoon in the River Valley: Nature Weaving Assistant Volunteers
Suitable for Seniors
Join us in the river valley for a hands-on art activity. We will be making nature weavings inspired by Asterisms: Terroir by Jaeden Blewett and Germaine Koh.
Volunteer Duties
- Assist Gallery staff in preparing the activity booth for the program, setting up materials, organizing the table, prepping and laying out the activity, and other set up needs as required.
- Assist participants throughout the program, providing guidance on the activity when appropriate and/or raising concerns to Gallery staff.
- Help clean up the space throughout the activity, tidying the area, collecting materials, and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Assist with cleaning up after the activity, putting away materials, packing up the booth, and transporting it back to the Gallery’s vehicle(s).

Other Requirements
- Please note this event will take place outside in Indian Battle Park. Ensure you wear sunscreen, bring water, and wear weather appropriate clothing as temperatures may change throughout the evening.
- The art project is designed to be fun for all skill levels, so an art background is not required for volunteers.
- Volunteers should be comfortable engaging with the public and with a wide range of demographics; volunteers should be comfortable working/around with a wide range of ages, especially children.
- Vulnerable sector search is required.
