National Indigenous Peoples’ Day Volunteers

A celebration of indigenous culture, traditions and heritage featuring performances, workshops and community activities.

Volunteer Duties

  • Greeting and wayfinding: Welcoming attendees, directing them to appropriate areas, and helping create a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
  • Assisting with registration: Supporting the check-in process for both in-person and virtual participants.
  • Event set-up and takedown: Helping with light setup (tables, chairs, signage, etc.) before and after the event.
  • Onsite support: Helping presenters, managing transitions between sessions, handing out materials or refreshments.
  • Social media/engagement support (optional): Assisting with photos, short video clips, or quotes for event-day highlights.
  • Additional role-specific instructions are provided closer to each event and an orientation for volunteers.
