National Indigenous Peoples’ Day Volunteers
A celebration of indigenous culture, traditions and heritage featuring performances, workshops and community activities.
Volunteer Duties
- Greeting and wayfinding: Welcoming attendees, directing them to appropriate areas, and helping create a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
- Assisting with registration: Supporting the check-in process for both in-person and virtual participants.
- Event set-up and takedown: Helping with light setup (tables, chairs, signage, etc.) before and after the event.
- Onsite support: Helping presenters, managing transitions between sessions, handing out materials or refreshments.
- Social media/engagement support (optional): Assisting with photos, short video clips, or quotes for event-day highlights.
- Additional role-specific instructions are provided closer to each event and an orientation for volunteers.
