Float Committee Volunteer

Join the fun celebrating Whoop-Up Days this summer.

Experienced volunteers who enjoy carpentry, painting, are team oriented with good communication skills are needed to help with this year’s Whoop-Up Days parade.

Volunteer Duties

  • Float design and drawing will be provided.
  • The creation will be on panels or larger items in the upstairs area initially, then the week before Whoop-Up Days (Aug 11th-15th) we would have the trailer in our south warehouse and start fastening/building items to the trailer.
  • On Monday, August 18th we would decorate the truck pulling the trailer.

August 5-18, 2025

  • 2-3 hour shifts
  • Weekdays between 8:30am-3:30pm
  • Potentially weekends

Volunteer Drivers provide support to our Operations Team by assisting with smaller pickups and/or deliveries using their own vehicles and assisting our paid staff with additional errands and warehouse activities. As representatives of the food bank off-site, Volunteer Drivers will interact with donors and suppliers on our behalf and should be capable of heavy lifting and working in fast-paced and ever-changing environments.

Drivers interested in supporting Hamper Deliveries to food bank families will be subject to additional screening requirements (not required for all Volunteer Drivers).

General Warehouse Volunteers support the Operations Team with the receipt, storage and preparation of food and non-food products to facilitate food bank programs and services. Duties include tasks such as sorting, repackaging, hamper building and bundling, in addition to maintaining general warehouse organization and cleanliness. These tasks are done safely and effectively through detailed processes while adhering to food safety guidelines.

The Reception Volunteer serves as the first point of contact for visitors at Administration and Donations and all callers at Interfaith Food Bank. This role involves receiving and processing donations, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, assisting with inquiries, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure smooth front desk operations.
