Feeding Volunteers
Suitable for Seniors- Suitable for Support Staff with Client
Feeding program for seniors structured to feed hot meals to seniors in a healthcare setting.
Volunteer Duties
- This program is crucial to seniors who may lack the ability to feed themselves.
- Requires short online courses as well as an in person orientation with a clinical educator.
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
Volunteers in this role should have:
- Excellent people skills
- Ability to work independently or with a support worker
- Willingness and ability to take direction from staff
- Sensitivity to the needs and challenges of the residents
Schedule
- Breakfast – 8:30am
- Lunch – 11:30am
- Supper – 4:30pm
Prefer long term commitment of minimum 6 months.

We are currently seeking volunteers who are interested in building connections with residents and making a positive difference through one-on-one interaction and support.
Support recreational programs for residents by engaging in programs that provide social interaction, mental stimulation, physical activity and inclusion in the community. Volunteers will work closely with recreation staff and residents to provide them with the freedom to participate in an activity that contributes to overall quality of life and well-being.
