1 to 1 Resident Volunteers
We are currently seeking volunteers who are interested in building connections with residents and making a positive difference through one-on-one interaction and support
Volunteer Duties
Volunteers in this role will:
- Assist with individualized 1:1 visits to support resident engagement
- Offer social interaction, conversation, and companionship to enhance overall well-being
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
Volunteers in this role should have:
- Excellent people skills
- Ability to work independently or with a support worker
- Willingness and ability to take direction from staff
- Sensitivity to the needs and challenges of the residents
Schedule
Schedule weekdays or weekends
Monday to Sunday
Various time during the week or weekend to volunteer in this area
Prefer long term commitment 6 months and up

Other Opportunities with St. Michael's Health Centre
Support recreational programs for residents by engaging in programs that provide social interaction, mental stimulation, physical activity and inclusion in the community. Volunteers will work closely with recreation staff and residents to provide them with the freedom to participate in an activity that contributes to overall quality of life and well-being.
Feeding program for seniors structured to feed hot meals to seniors in a healthcare setting
