Horticultural Society

Board Members

An organization for area gardeners with all levels of expertise to share information on plants and gardening.

Volunteer Duties

Board Members are needed to:

  • Attend monthly meetings
  • Assist with organizing monthly speakers
  • Assist with planning fund raising events such as an annual plant sale, garden tour and members only barbecues
  • Some of areas needed  include creating newsletters, membership payment and tracking, or coordinating of volunteers

Age Requirements

18 years old or above

Other Requirements

  • Must have membership with the Lethbridge and District Horticultural Society
  • Knowledge of gardening
  • Computer experience
  • Assist at the Henderson demonstration gardens or Legacy garden
  • Attend the monthly presentations

Schedule

  • Meetings are held once a month
  • Monthly presentations are held the 4th Monday of each month (except December), at the Lethbridge Library, Main Branch from September – June

The Legacy Garden of Lethbridge and District Horticultural Society can be found in the northwest corner of Legacy Park, and are maintained by volunteers who share their interest in gardening with area residents by helping keep the garden beautiful.
