It’s that time of year again! The Lethbridge Public Library is proud to join communities across the country in a national celebration of literacy, storytelling, and the literary arts, by bringing The Word On The Street Festival to Lethbridge.
The Word On The Street Festival is growing into a signature event in Southern Alberta, where we present established and emerging authors, storytellers, informative panel discussions, demonstrations and workshops, live music, tons of activities and a bustling marketplace. We strive to create a FREE local festival that represents the diversity of our community, is accessible to all ages, and most importantly is well attended, lively, and fun.
Volunteer Duties
- You will be paired with a Library staff member for these shifts.
- You’ll be responsible for:
- Checking in presenters and volunteers and answering questions about the schedule, map, etc.
- Checking on food and drink, doing minor clean-up and tidying.
Age Requirements
16 years old or above
Schedule
Volunteer orientation: Tuesday, September 15th, 2026 at 6:30pm at the Main Branch Library
Saturday, September 19, 2025 (10am-12pm; 12pm-2:30pm; 2:30pm-5pm)
