Wellspring Alberta

Wellspring Alberta is a warm and welcoming registered charity that offers non-medical cancer support programs across the province. At Wellspring Alberta, we are offering 70 evidence-informed programs, completely free of charge and with no referral needed, so that anyone impacted by cancer can access the support they deserve. Our programs are delivered online, by phone and in-person in Calgary, Edmonton, and community hubs including in Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and launching this fall in Grande Prairie. This outreach model is built on a community participatory approach, informed by the needs of the local community with our local members, and key community partners such as you.

Wellspring Alberta

Wellspring Alberta is a charitable organization that supports, informs, and empowers those diagnosed with cancer by helping them address the fear, isolation, disruption and practical problems cancer can bring to their lives. An affiliate of the Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation, Wellspring Alberta provides a comprehensive range of programs, support, resources, and programs so anyone living with cancer and the people who care about them can improve the quality of their lives. All programs and services are informed by evidence and offered free of charge and without referral in three centres and online. Our vision is that no one has to face cancer alone.

The collective efforts of our wonderful team of volunteers contribute to the heartbeat of Wellspring Alberta. Their commitment of time and talent is a gift of immeasurable worth. Volunteers embody the kindness, compassion and community that Wellspring Alberta extends to all who seek support in dealing with cancer.

Wellspring Alberta is building a team of passionate community connector volunteers to help raise awareness of Wellspring throughout Alberta with the goal of building localized cancer support communities, so that no one in Alberta has to face cancer alone.

Community Connectors are responsible for building relationships, as well as providing ideas, feedback, and recommendations to Wellspring to help further support individuals and their families who are living with the impact of a cancer diagnosis.
