Volunteer Recruitment Head
The Lethbridge Helpers provides free online tutoring for elementary, junior high, and high school students throughout Southern Alberta. We are a youth‑run organization partnered with the YouthInspirED Foundation (Halifax, Nova Scotia) and YWCA Lethbridge. We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people to help grow our team of volunteer tutors. If you like meeting new people, staying organized, and contributing to something meaningful, this role could be perfect for you.
Volunteer Duties
- Share volunteer opportunities with schools, clubs, and community groups across Southern Alberta
- Chat with interested volunteers in friendly, low‑pressure interviews to learn about their interests and availability
- Help new volunteers complete simple onboarding documents, such as agreements and background checks
- Support a smooth transition for new tutors
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
- Friendly and comfortable talking with new people
- Able to stay organized and manage small tasks weekly
- Comfortable working independently
- Passionate about education and community impact
No previous recruitment experience needed, just enthusiasm and commitment
Schedule
This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of 2-3 hours per week. All work is
conducted remotely, offering flexibility to work from home
