Treasurer Volunteer
Looking for a dedicated volunteer who has experience on a board and fundraising to aid in the mission to provide client centred life skills programming in southern Alberta.
Volunteer Duties
- Maintains accurate and complete financial records
- Supervises spending monies including primary signing authority
- Assists auditor in preparation of financial statements
- Renders monthly financial statements to the board of directors
- Presents the financial reports of the Society to the board of directors and the annual meeting
- Files the annual return, changes in the directors of the organization, amendments in thebylaws and other incorporating documents with the Corporate Registry
- Holds the position of Chair of the Finance and Fundraising Committees
- Carries out other duties assigned by board
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
- Previous experience as a board member
- Fundraising experience preferred
Schedule
- Meet Tuesday evenings monthly
- 10-15 hours a month
- Two year commitment
