Technical Volunteer

The Tetra Society of North America is a registered non-profit that is fueled by our volunteers that make customized assistive devices to change the life of people with disabilities. We believe great stories should be celebrated, encouraged and share as we inspire others through the work that Tetra does.

Volunteer Duties

Whether you are a retired engineer or an engineer-in-training; an occupational therapist, a budding architectural designer; or a seasoned carpenter, there is room for you on our team. Come to a chapter meeting and hear about new requests for assistance or learn about projects that have been completed. Meet other volunteers and either lead a new project or offer to help out with an existing one.

Age Requirements

Must be 18 years old and above

Other Requirements

Skills required include any of the following:

  • Engineering
  • Design
  • Occupational therapy
  • Carpentry
  • Welding
  • Sewing

Schedule

Flexible schedule and all volunteers are asked to commit at least 3 months

Tetra is a non-profit organization that empowers people with disabilities through volunteer built custom assistive devices that overcome obstacles to independence.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, outgoing individual to help raise awareness about our organization. The successful candidate will network and cultivate relationships with local health care professionals, disability organizations, and community members. They will distribute promotional material, schedule presentations, and seek out direct-to-client advertising opportunities throughout the city. The ability to work independently is essential.
