Stockings of Hope 2025
Every Christmas, YWCA Lethbridge & District shares the spirit of the season through our Stockings of Hope campaign. Together, we bring a little joy, comfort, and dignity to women and families in our community who need it most.
These women and children are either currently using YWCA programs and services or have used them over the past year, including YWCA Harbour House, Hestia Homes, Harbour House Support Services, the Safe Visitation program, and our newest initiative, Hope Transitional Housing.
Volunteer Duties
- Committing to 4 hour shifts on-site, as many as desired, up to 4 shifts.
- Assisting YWCA staff with sorting, tagging, labeling of received gifts.
- Wrapping & tagging gifts.
- Boxing and packaging gifts.
- Tracking inventory, updating gift statuses.
- Groups welcome! Perfect for corporate volunteer hours, church or youth groups, sports teams, and families.
Age Requirements
Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
Other Requirements
- Children under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult for the duration of their shift.
Schedule
4 hours per shift
- December 18, 2025 – gift sorting, wrapping
- two shifts available – 12:00-4:00pm or 4:00-8:00pm
- December 19, 2025 – gift sorting, wrapping
- two shifts available – 12:00-4:00pm or 4:00-8:00pm
