Spring Opening Reception

Join us at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. as we celebrate the opening of our Spring exhibitions: Art’s Alive & Well in the Schools and Asterisms: Say the Word.
We are looking for multiple volunteers to help with the evening’s celebrations.
Volunteer Duties
- Bartenders (2): Mix and pour drinks, take payments, bartenders must be 18 years old or above, pro-serve required.
- Event assistant (1-2): ensure guests don’t bring drinks or food into the gallery spaces, bussing tables, provide event direction and info for guests, assist where needed throughout the night.
Age Requirements
Bartenders must be 18 years old or above, other roles do not have an age requirement
Other Requirements
- Pro-serve required only for Bartender position.
- Business casual attire.
Schedule
Saturday, May 9th, 2026 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Please arrive by 4:45 p.m.

We’re thrilled to be part of this year’s Pride in the Park celebration! We will be hosting a drop-in art activity for guests to enjoy during the event in Galt Gardens. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to assist with this event.
