The Lethbridge Helpers provides free online tutoring for elementary, junior high, and high school students throughout Alberta. We are a youth‑run organization that runs in partnership with YouthInspirED Foundation and YWCA Lethbridge.  We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people to help expand our mission. If you like meeting new people, staying organized, and contributing to something meaningful, this role could be perfect for you.

Volunteer Duties

  • Manage Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts
  • Create simple, engaging posts—graphics, short videos, announcements, or fun updates
  • Keep our brand voice friendly, positive, and consistent
  • Interact with followers by responding to comments and messages
  • Help online community feel welcomed, informed, and connected

Age Requirements

18 years old or above

Other Requirements

  • Interest in social media, content creation, or digital storytelling
  • Basic understanding of major platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Creativity and willingness to experiment with new ideas
  • Clear communication skills
  • Comfort working independently with a flexible, low‑pressure weekly workload
  • Passion for education and community involvement

No formal experience needed, just enthusiasm and a desire to learn

Schedule

This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of 2-3 hours per week. All work is conducted remotely, offering flexibility to work from home.

Help Us Empower the Next Generation – Make a difference from anywhere and become an online tutor!

The Lethbridge Helpers, a free virtual tutoring program, is looking for compassionate and dedicated volunteer tutors to help K-12 students in need of academic support.

A volunteer experience that is remote and flexible – you choose your availability and the subject(s) you are most comfortable with, and we’ll match you with students accordingly. Whether it’s Math, English, Science, or another subject, your time and knowledge can truly make an impact.
