Production Assistant Volunteer
The Production Assistant will work closely with the Company Manager, Artistic Director, and Technical Director in the delivery of New West Theatre programming
Training offered in various production aspects, to ensure that volunteers are fully prepared, and additional support offered as needed

Volunteer Duties
- Assisting with set construction and painting
- Assisting with set installation and take down/strike
- Coordinating props
- Organization and upkeep of theatre spaces, and theatre spaces (props room, costume cage, etc.)
- Production support for education programs
- Light administrative duties
- Technical support for Education program final performances
- Assisting with working with cutting and sewing of costumes
- Interpret costume designs, patterns and cutting
- Running costumes and wardrobe changes
- Laundering costumes after each show
- Other duties as required
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
- Punctual and reliable
- Comfortable using power tools – with supervision (ex., drills, staple gun, saws, etc.)
- Adaptable and okay with change (things often change quickly in the industry)
- Strong communication skills, and not afraid to ask questions
Schedule
- Shift time vary depending on the show
- Flight Risk- Thursday October 15-Saturday October 24, 2026
- New West Theatre Holiday Special- Thursday December 10- December 31, 2026
- Stones In His Pockets- Thursday February 11-Saturday February 20, 2027
