Our shop sells quality, repaired/cleaned and tested donated items at reasonable prices to raise funds to contribute to local community service projects as well as the work of global partners for relief, development and peace.

Volunteer Duties

  • Work with 1 or 2 other volunteers on donated pictures, artwork, frames, mirrors, wall hangings, etc.
  • The tasks involve inspecting items for quality and condition, cleaning, looking up on Google to determine the value and originality.
  • Pricing according to price guideline, arranging displays on retail floor once they are priced.
  • Some lifting and repair of frames and pictures is possible.

Age Requirements

16 years old or above

Other Requirements

  • Some art background is an asset

Schedule

Tuesdays and/or Thursdays for 3–4 hours (between 10am–4pm)

Cashiers are an important role as they represent Lethbridge MCC Thrift in all their interactions with customers.

Our shop sells quality, repaired/cleaned and tested donated items at reasonable prices to raise funds to contribute to local community service products as well as the work of global partners for relief, development and peace.

We are on bus route, and volunteers take breaks as needed in the lunchroom where coffee, tea, iced tea and snacks are provided.

This opportunity is also suitable for individuals who are intermediate in English.
