Male Paddler for Dragon Boat Team Volunteer

Nord-Bridge Sea N’ Oars dragon boat team is in need of 4 strong male paddlers 55 and older for our dragon boat team! This is a great opportunity to build confidence, meet new people, and stay healthy!

Volunteer Duties

  • Commit to once a week on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for dry land training until June 2026.
  • Be available for water practices in June 2026 and race days on June 27th and June 28th.
  • Must be a reliable, strong, and motivated person, previous paddling experience an asset but not required.
  • All other details will be discussed at time of registration.

There is a small fee to cover the cost of t-shirts when joining.

Schedule

Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. from March 2026- June 2026.

Water practices on Henderson Lake- more details to come from dry land trainer.

Race day Saturday, June 27 & Sunday, June 28 needed all day both days.

Nord-Bridge is currently looking for a volunteer to instruct a class size of 8-10 for a level 2 Spanish class (depending on experience). We need someone to teach to our seniors between the ages of 55-95 years old who are just learning the language once a week on Tuesday mornings.

Nord-Bridge is looking for enthusiastic & reliable volunteers to assist with the set up of the tables and chairs for our on site weekly Bingo program held every Friday afternoon.

Two opportunities:

  1. Help with set up; be at Centre and ready to go for 11:30am. Assist with setting up tables & chairs for Bingo Patrons. Takes approximately 1/2 hour.
  2. Also need a group to put away the tables (wipe down first) and chairs after Bingo program is finished. Also takes approximately 1/2 hour to 3/4 hour. Volunteers need to be ready and able to begin for 3pm.
