Grants and Fundraising Coordinator
The Lethbridge Helpers provides free online tutoring for elementary, junior high, and high school students throughout Southern Alberta. We are a youth‑run organization partnered with the YouthInspirED Foundation (Halifax, Nova Scotia) and YWCA Lethbridge. We’re looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people to help grow our team of volunteer tutors. If you like meeting new people, staying organized, and contributing to something meaningful, this role could be perfect for you.
Volunteer Duties
- Help connect with local supporters, donors, and partners
- Assist with simple fundraising campaigns and small community events
- Look for grants that match mission and help prepare basic application materials
- Keep track of fundraising amounts and basic expenses in easy‑to‑use spreadsheets
- Share updates with the executive team and help plan new fundraising ideas
- Strengthen relationships with individuals and organizations that care about education
Age Requirements
18 years old or above
Other Requirements
- Comfortable communicating by email or message
- Friendly and professional when speaking with community members
- Organized and willing to handle small weekly tasks
- Interest in events, fundraising, grants, or community involvement
- Able to work independently while collaborating with a youth executive team
- Passionate about supporting students and educational access
No previous fundraising or grant experience required, just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
Schedule
This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of 2-3 hours per week. All work is
conducted remotely, offering flexibility to work from home.
