Director – Board
The Board ensures that the organization is operated in the interests of the members.
Volunteer Duties
- To “oversee the operation of the Lethbridge Symphony Association (LSA).”
- Carry out the functions and obligations of the LSA as designated in the bylaws;
- Serve as the policy-making body for the LSA;
- Counsel, advise, and deliberate with management regarding the policy and operations of the LSA;
- Develop a strategic plan, set operational goals and priorities, and evaluate progress;
- Serve in a public and community relations capacity;
- Appoint such committees as it considers necessary;
- Conduct a board self-evaluation annually;
- Approve the budget annually and monitor the financial health of the organization.

Schedule
- The LSA board meets monthly, in-person, on the 3rd Thursday of each month, at 5pm for approximately 90 minutes.
- The board of directors may meet at other times should there be a pressing matter which demands their attention, though this does not happen often.
