Children’s Cooking Class Assistants
Are you passionate about cooking and preparing food? Do you enjoy working with children? We have an exciting volunteer opportunity for you!
Our child/youth cooking classes aim to teach kids 6-15 years of age how to prepare delicious meals. We’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join us on Monday-Thursday afternoons over the summer months.
Volunteer Duties
- Volunteer support is needed for various programs.
- Duties include assisting our program staff with kitchen set-up, clean-up and helping kids with their recipes during the program.
- Knowledge of food safe and kitchen sanitization practices are an asset, but not required.
Requirements
- Age: 18 years old or above
Schedule
- Kids in the Kitchen (ages 6-8 years old)
- Monday – Thursday
- July 15 – 18, 2024 (12:30-3:30pm)
- Plants to Plates (ages 9-11 years old)
- Monday – Thursday
- July 29, 2024 – August 1, 2024 (12:30-3:30pm)
- Kids in the Kitchen (ages 7-10 years old)
- Monday – Thursday
- August 12 – 15, 2024 (12:30-3:30pm)
