Friday Inhouse Bingo Program Set Up/Take Down

Nord-Bridge is looking for enthusiastic & reliable volunteers to assist with the set up of the tables and chairs for our on site weekly Bingo program held every Friday afternoon.

Two opportunities:

  1. Help with set up; be at Centre and ready to go for 11:30am. Assist with setting up tables & chairs for Bingo Patrons. Takes approximately 1/2 hour.
  2. Also need a group to put away the tables (wipe down first) and chairs after Bingo program is finished. Also takes approximately 1/2 hour to 3/4 hour. Volunteers need to be ready and able to begin for 3pm.

Volunteer Duties

  • Assist with set up of tables and chairs for the weekly Bingo Program open to Nord-Bridge members and Community members.
  • Will also assist with the take down of the table and chairs once the Bingo program concludes. Also, a quick sanitizing of the tables, preferably before the Bingo Program begins.
  • Other duties available if volunteer is interested; assist with call back of numbers, buddy with player who may need assistance etc.

Age Requirements

14 years old or above

Other Requirements

  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • Able to bend and lift 20 pounds (tables)
  • Friendly and willing to work as a team
  • Very good communication skills
  • Knowledge of Bingo game is helpful
  • Comfortable with seniors and persons with disabilities

Schedule

EVERY Friday afternoon, unless special event occurs.

Before Bingo Program:

  • Need to be ready at Centre for 11:30am. Wait for prior program to conclude.
  • Assist with setting up tables & chairs for Bingo patrons. Takes 1/2 hour to 3/4 hour   Needs minimum of 4 volunteers

After Bingo:

  • Need to be at Centre and ready to go for 3pm.
  • Need assistance with wiping down tables  and then  taking down and storing tables. Putting away chairs & some Bingo Equipment.  Takes approximately 1/2 hour to 3/4 hour (depends on number of Volunteers. Require minimum of 4 volunteers

Nord-Bridge is currently looking for a volunteer to instruct a class size of 8-10 for a level 2 Spanish class (depending on experience). We need someone to teach to our seniors between the ages of 55-95 years old who are just learning the language once a week on Tuesday mornings.
