Afro-Caribbean Culture and Heritage Event Volunteers
The Afro-Caribbean Festival is about recognizing and celebrating the contributions of Afro-Caribbean communities to Lethbridge. The event will take place at Galt Gardens on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. There will be live music, dancing, food trucks, beer gardens, kids activities, and more!
Volunteer Duties
- Loading materials at the Multicultural Centre.
- Setting up at the Galt Gardens.
- Wrist banding people going into the beer gardens.
- Monitoring bouncy castle and kids activities.
- General event support.
- Bussing tables in the beer gardens.
- Teardown of the event.

Other Requirements
- Some roles may require heavy lifting and longer periods of standing.
- Volunteer bussing tables in the beer gardens must be 18+.
Schedule
- Friday, July 3rd, 2026 for set-up (12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
- Setting up at the Galt Gardens (9:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m.).
- Saturday, July 4th, 2026 for day of event support (12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.).
- Saturday, July 4th, 2026 for teardown (5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.).
- Shift times are between 1.5 hours to 3 hours.
