Public Relations and Promotion Volunteer

Our shop sells quality, repaired/cleaned and tested donated items at reasonable prices to raise funds to contribute to local community service projects as well as support the work of MCC with global partners for relief, development and peace.

Volunteer Duties

  • The role is new to our shop, and you could contribute to shaping this volunteer experience.
  • Promotion of the mission and vision of MCC and how the MCC thrift shops contribute to this.
  • You are someone who enjoys connecting with others from all backgrounds, faith communities, ages and organizations/businesses.
  • You have a passion for service and igniting this in others.
  • The activities will include recruitment and promotion in diverse settings/venues and events.
  • You will work closely with the volunteer coordinator and general manager.

Age Requirements

18 years old or above

Schedule

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • We can accommodate any schedule.

Cashiers are an important role as they represent Lethbridge MCC Thrift in all their interactions with customers.

Our shop sells quality, repaired/cleaned and tested donated items at reasonable prices to raise funds to contribute to local community service products as well as the work of global partners for relief, development and peace.

We are on bus route, and volunteers take breaks as needed in the lunchroom where coffee, tea, iced tea and snacks are provided.

This opportunity is also suitable for individuals who are intermediate in English.
