Dance Camp Volunteers

Dance camp is a transformative program focused on celebrating BIPOC culture through dance and art. Youth participants will develop technical skills, explore cultural identity and engage in artistic expression through dance, photography and painting. The program will culminate in a grand showcase featuring choreographed performances and art exhibits with volunteers supporting workshops, coordination and event logistics.
This volunteer opportunity is:
- Suitable for individuals who are beginners in English.
- Suitable for individuals who are intermediate in English.
Volunteer Duties
- Registration Desk Team volunteers will serve as the first point of contact for attendees, ensuring a smooth, organized and welcoming check-in experience.
- Logistics and Operations volunteers will be responsible for the smooth coordination of event resources, equipment and overall flow of activities before and during the event.
- Workshop Support volunteers will assist the facilitators and participants to ensure interactive sessions run effectively and deliver a great learning experience.
- Backstage Assistant volunteers will support behind-the-scenes coordination to ensure stage activities, performances, and speaker sessions run smoothly and on time.

The BIPOC Foundation Lethbridge Student & Youth Ambassador Program is a leadership and community engagement initiative that empowers students and young professionals to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable real-world experience. As a Student Ambassador, you’ll work alongside our Outreach Team to support community events, connect with local businesses and organizations, represent the Foundation at outreach initiatives, and contribute to programs that support BIPOC entrepreneurs across Lethbridge. Ambassadors also have the opportunity to participate in our Campus Youth Case Study Club, where students collaborate to develop practical solutions for real challenges faced by local entrepreneurs. This program is ideal for individuals who are passionate about community service, leadership, entrepreneurship, and creating positive change.
The event represents a premier celebration of Black entrepreneurial experience in Canada, now entering its third year. This distinguished black-tie event brings together 200-400 business leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and community stakeholders for an evening of recognition, networking, and advancement of the Foundation mission.
