The Warehouse Intermediate position is something we’re asking for specifically during the first five business days of each month  when our client intake volume is at its highest.

The intermediate, as the name suggests, will bridge the gap between our intake and warehouse roles. Primarily, they will be responsible for ensuring that the intake area receives everything it needs during busy periods, as well as clearing away any obstructions that may be piling up and keeping things running smoothly.

Volunteer Duties

  • Moving and organizing empty hamper bins
  • Moving and organizing milk crates
  • Moving and organizing banana boxes
  • Moving full pallets from sorting to hamper area
  • Picking up little outside
  • Washing baskets
  • Changing and throwing out garbage
  • Helping to keep freezer and cooler organized
  • Other logistical duties, as needed

Age Requirements

16 years old or above

Other Requirements

  • Decently fit as there’s quite a bit of moving back and forth within the warehouse area
  • There is also some lifting involved, so any volunteers interested in the position should be capable of lifting loads up to 25 lbs repeatedly over the course of roughly two and a half hours
